Kinetic Analysis of the Reaction between Tannic Acid (TA) and L-Lysine Diisocyanate (LDI) Systems
The kinetics of the synthesis of green polyurethane from the reaction between tannic acid (TA) and L-lysine diisocyanate (LDI) were investigated using the differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) technique and dynamic rheological tests.

Derivation of an Analytical Solution to a Reaction-Diffusion Model for Autocatalytic Degradation and Erosion in Polymer Microspheres. [PDF]
A mathematical reaction-diffusion model is defined to describe the gradual decomposition of polymer microspheres composed of poly(D,L-lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA) that are used for pharmaceutical drug delivery over extended periods of time.

Enhanced stochastic oscillations in autocatalytic reactions
We study a simplified scheme of $k$ coupled autocatalytic reactions, previously introduced by Togashi and Kaneko. The role of stochastic fluctuations is elucidated through the use of the van Kampen system-size expansion and the results compared with direct stochastic simulations.

A stochastic model of catalytic reaction networks in protocells [PDF]
Protocells are supposed to have played a key role in the self-organizing processes leading to the emergence of life. Existing models either (i) describe protocell architecture and dynamics, given the existence of sets of collectively self-replicating ...

Transitions Induced by the Discreteness of Molecules in a Small Autocatalytic System
Autocatalytic reaction system with a small number of molecules is studied numerically by stochastic particle simulations. A novel state due to fluctuation and discreteness in molecular numbers is found, characterized as extinction of molecule species ...

Stochastic properties of systems controlled by autocatalytic reactions II
We analyzed the stochastic behavior of systems controlled by autocatalytic reaction A+X -> X+X, X+X -> A+X, X -> B provided that the distribution of reacting particles in the system volume is uniform, i.e.

Mesoscopic Multi-Particle Collision Dynamics of Reaction-Diffusion Fronts [PDF]
A mesoscopic multi-particle collision model for fluid dynamics is generalized to incorporate the chemical reactions among species that may diffuse at different rates. This generalization provides a means to simulate reaction-diffusion dynamics of complex

Frozen Fronts Selection in flow against self-sustained chemical waves
Autocatalytic reaction fronts between two reacting species in the absence of fluid flow, propagate as solitary waves. The coupling between autocatalytic reaction front and forced hydrodynamic flow may lead to stationary front whose velocity and shape ...
