MLSTar: automatic multilocus sequence typing of bacterial genomes in R [PDF]
Multilocus sequence typing (MLST) is a standard tool in population genetics and bacterial epidemiology that assesses the genetic variation present in a reduced number of housekeeping genes (typically seven) along the genome.

Automata and automatic sequences
In the following pages we discuss infinite sequences defined on a finite alphabet, and more specially those which are generated by finite automata. We have divided our paper into seven parts which are more or less self-contained. Needless to say, we feel that the order we propose is the most natural one.

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...

Automatic Extraction of Material Defect Size by Infrared Image Sequence
A typical pulsed thermography procedure results in a sequence of infrared images that reflects the evolution of temperature over time. Many features of defects, such as shape, position, and size, are derived from single image by image processing.

Automatic Keyword Extraction from Documents Using Conditional Random Fields [PDF]
Keywords are subset of words or phrases from a document that can describe the meaning of the document. Many text mining applications can take advantage from it. Unfortunately, a large portion of documents still do not have keywords assigned. On the other

Characterizing Communication Channel Deadlocks in Sequence Diagrams
UML sequence diagrams (SDs) are a mainstay of requirements specifications for communication protocols. Mauw and Reniers' algebraic (MRA) semantics formally specifies a behaviour for these SDs that guarantees deadlock free processes.
