Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

An automatic method for assessing structural importance of amino acid positions [PDF]
Background: A great deal is known about the qualitative aspects of the sequence-structure relationship, for example that buried residues are usually more conserved between structurally similar homologues, but no attempts have been made to quantitate the ...

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Automatic Annotation of Heart Rate Sequences
Heart Rate (HR) measurement is one of the most effective ways to determine whether a person is stressed or not. The analysis of a series of HR measurements can help determine whether the HR decreased, increased dramatically, or remained consistent during that time period.

How to prove that a sequence is not automatic [PDF]
Automatic sequences have many properties that other sequences (in particular, non-uniformly morphic sequences) do not necessarily share. In this paper we survey a number of different methods that can be used to prove that a given sequence is not ...

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

Cued Speech Gesture Recognition: A First Prototype Based on Early Reduction
Cued Speech is a specific linguistic code for hearing-impaired people. It is based on both lip reading and manual gestures. In the context of THIMP (Telephony for the Hearing-IMpaired Project), we work on automatic cued speech translation. In this paper,

Complexity Estimation of Infrared Image Sequence for Automatic Target Track
Infrared image complexity metrics are an important task of automatic target recognition and track performance assessment. Traditional metrics, such as statistical variance and signal-to-noise ratio, targeted to single frame infrared image. However, there
