Balancing Support and Autonomy
The current study examines the impact of ChatGPT on the research autonomy of Moroccan PhD students through the lenses of Self-Determination Theory, the Technology Acceptance Model, and Cognitive Load Theory. Survey results show that students perceive ChatGPT as both useful and easy to use, especially in writing and idea generation.
