Avalanche Multiplication and Excess Noise in InAs Electron Avalanche Photodiodes at 77 K
The findings of a study of impact ionization, avalanche multiplication and excess noise in InAs avalanche photodiodes at 77 K are reported. It is shown that hole impact ionization is negligible in practical devices which continue to operate as electron ...

Molten KNO2 treatment induces a lowrefractive index disordered carbon shell on fluorescent nanodiamonds, enhancing fluorescence emission while preserving spin coherence. Machine learningassisted correlative TEMPL enables direct single‐particle resolution of this enhancement relative to air‐oxidized nanodiamonds of similar morphology, establishing a ...

SiC avalanche photodiode array with microlenses
A simple technique to incorporate microlenes with small photodiode arrays is demonstrated and analyzed. Using this method, the fill factor was increased from 2.6% to 22.4% for a two by two array. Simulation results are also shown. The photocurrent with microlens was approximately 8.6 times larger than without the microlens, which is consistent with ...

Self‐Sustained Oscillations in MoS2 Optomechanical Resonators for VHF Optical Radio
This work demonstrates the use of 2D materials drum resonators to generate and modulate radio‐over‐laser signals. Taking advantage of the self‐sustained oscillations arising in cavity optomechanical systems by a continuous wave visible laser, a radio frequency signal is generated and frequency‐modulated by just changing a DC gate voltage.

Engineering Stealth Properties of Fluorescent Polymeric Nanoparticles by Short‐Chain Polysarcosine
To define the minimal polysarcosine chain length required for nanoparticle stealth properties, we engineered dye‐loaded polymeric nanoparticles functionalized with 5‐, 11‐, or 19‐mer peptoids. Only nanoparticles with 19‐mer polysarcosine achieved near‐neutral zeta potential, suppressed nonspecific interactions with glass surface and live cells ...

Evaluating Variability in Extracellular Vesicle Characterization Across Measurement Techniques
ABSTRACT Reliable, reproducible, and standardized characterization of extracellular vesicles (EVs) remains a central challenge due to methodological variability across analytical platforms and intrinsic EV heterogeneity within and across biofluids. Here, we evaluated EVs isolated using ultracentrifugation from dedifferentiated liposarcoma‐conditioned ...
