An enhanced nonparametric quality control chart with application related to industrial process
In various practical situations, the information about the process distribution is sometimes partially or completely unavailable. In these instances, practitioners prefer to use nonparametric charts as they don’t restrict the assumption of normality or ...

In the past, the control chart served as a statistical tool for detecting process changes. The Exponentially Weighted Moving Average (EWMA) control chart is highly effective for detecting small changes. This research introduces the Extended Exponentially Weighted Moving Average (Extended EWMA) control chart for the Autoregressive and Moving average ...

EWMA Control Chart Integrated with Time Series Models for COVID-19 Surveillance
The global outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has posed a severe threat to public health and caused widespread socioeconomic disruptions in the past several years. While the pandemic has subsided, it is essential to explore effective disease

Average Run Lengths of an Optimal Method of Detecting a Change in Distribution
The author, Ann. Stat. 13, 206-227 (1985; Zbl 0573.62074), gave a second- order asymptotically optimal solution to the classical change point problem. In the present paper, he dicusses asymptotic operating characteristics of this and related procedures. Asymptotic expressions for the expected stopping times are obtained.

An efficient MEWMA chart for Gumbel's bivariate Pareto distribution
Control charts play a vital role in process monitoring to ensure the product's desired standards. Due to rapid improvements in data collection methods, multivariate charts are preferred over univariate charts.

Linear Profile Monitoring in the Presence of Non-Normality and Autocorrelation
In an increasing number of practical situations, the quality of a process or product can be effectively characterized and summarized by a profile. A profile is usually a functional relationship between a response variable and one or more explanatory ...

Pareto Distribution-Based Shewhart Control Chart for Early Detection of Process Mean Shifts
The Pareto distribution is of paramount importance in actuarial science, wealth distribution, finance, etc. This paper introduces a control chart inspired by Shewhart's methodology, designed for monitoring shifts in the Pareto distribution through a ...
