The value of tax shields with a fixed book-value leverage ratio [PDF]
The value of tax shields depends only on the nature of the stochastic process of the net increases of debt. The value of tax shields in a world with no leverage cost is the tax rate times the current debt plus the present value of the net increases of ...

Average Values of Mean Squares in Factorials
1. Summary. The assumptions appropriate to the application of analysis of variance to specific examples, and the effects of these assumptions on the resulting interpretations, are today a matter of very active discussion. Formulas for average values of mean squares play a central role in this problem, as do assumptionis about interactions.

Averaging properties of pluriharmonic boundary values [PDF]
Suppose \(D\subset {\mathbb{C}}^ n\) is a smoothly bounded domain and u is bounded and pluriharmonic in D. let \(u^*\) denote the boundary function of u, and let \(\zeta_ 0\in \partial D\). It is shown that if \(u^*\) has good averaging behavior on one curve in \(\partial D\) through \(\zeta_ 0\), then \(u^*\) has bood averaging behavior on all curves ...

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

The value of tax shields is not equal to the present value of tax shields [PDF]
We show that the value of tax shields is the difference between the present values of two different cash flows with their own risk: the present value of taxes for the unlevered company and the present value of taxes for the levered company.

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

The Average Tree Solution for Cooperative Games with Communication Structure
We study cooperative games with communication structure, represented by an undirectedgraph. Players in the game are able to cooperate only if they can form a network in the graph.

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Numerically Efficient Average-Value Model for Voltage-Source Converters in Nodal-Based Programs
Discrete detailed models of high-frequency switching voltage source converters (VSCs) are accurate but computationally expensive in simulations of large power-electronics-based systems.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.
