FAIR VALUE ILLUSTRATED IN OMFP 1802/2014 [PDF]
The fair value of assets is calculated from the evidence of market data through an assessment by authorized appraisers, according to law. The fair value of tangible assets is calculated based on their market value, based on information that we would use ...

There are several methods that can be used to measure the risk of a portfolio of stocks. One of them is Average Value at Risk (AVaR). The purpose of this study is to implement Principal Component Analysis (PCA) to select stocks to be incorporated in the ...

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

Stability of the adjustment process with the difference between the weighted average and the actual value [PDF]
In this paper, we show a similar concept of stability of the adjustment process concerning the difference between the weighted average and the actual value.

Average Values and Macroscopic Variables [PDF]
A systematic method for obtaining the average values of functions of particle velocities is presented in this chapter. The macroscopic variables, such as number density, flow velocity, kinetic pressure, thermal energy flux, and so on, can be considered as average values of physical quantities, involving the collective behavior of a large number of ...

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

The impact of a and b value uncertainty on loss estimation in the reinsurance industry
In the reinsurance industry different probabilistic models are currently used for seismic risk analysis. A credible loss estimation of the insured values depends on seismic hazard analysis and on the vulnerability functions of the given structures ...

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

The average shape of a fluctuation: universality in excursions of stochastic processes
We study the average shape of a fluctuation of a time series x(t), that is the average value _T before x(t) first returns, at time T, to its initial value x(0).
