Influence of seismic loading on axial load variation in reinforced concrete columns [PDF]
Experimental tests demonstrated the importance of the axial load variation in the seismic response of RC columns, namely, through the reduction in the strength capacity, reduced deformation capacity, and reduced energy dissipation capacity.

Investigating the Effectiveness of a Composite Patch on Repairing Pipes Subjected to Circumferential Cracks under Combined Loadings [PDF]
The purpose of this study is to investigate bending moment and the axial load capacity of a pressurized pipe suffering from a through-wall circumferential crack repaired by a composite sleeve. The three-dimensional finite element method (FEM) was adopted

Friction Capacity of Axially Loaded Model Pile in Sand
This paper presents an experimental program to investigate the effect of radial strain on the friction capacity of an instrumented model pipe pile. The model was buried in a dry INAGI sand. Loads were then applied in four different ways with and without applied surcharge pressures, one compression (push-down) and three tensions (pull-out).
