The New Concept of Physiological “Riolan’s Arch” and the Reconstruction Mechanism of Pathological Riolan’s Arch After High Ligation of the Inferior Mesenteric Artery by CT Angiography-Based Small Vessel Imaging [PDF]
BackgroundDue to the complexity of anatomical relationship between superior mesenteric artery (SMA) and left colic artery (LCA), there is no unified anatomical concept of “Riolan’s arch.” There is no consensus as to tie off the inferior mesenteric artery

Design of 3D Magnetic Tactile Sensors with High Sensing Accuracy Guided by the Theoretical Model
A theoretical model consisting of a machine learning (ML)‐based spatial localization algorithm and a finite‐deformation mechanical model is derived for the button‐like magnetic tactile sensor. The prototype of the tactile sensor is fabricated without tedious and time‐consuming training data acquisition processes before use.

Design process of the Japanese pavilion in Venice Biennale (1956) by Takamasa Yoshizaka
This study was to reconstruct the design process of the Japanese pavilion in Venice Biennale, Italy (1956) designed by Takamasa Yoshizaka based on the original design sketches. The chronological order of the design sketches was established to identify a series of “studies,” and transformability of each was analyzed and interpreted.

Wavy Whiskers in Wakes: Explaining the Trail‐Tracking Capabilities of Whisker Arrays on Seal Muzzles
It is known that seals can detect prey up to 180 m away using their flow‐sensing whiskers, which feature undulating morphologies that reduce vortex‐induced vibrations. In this work, through fluidstructure interaction studies and experimental investigations involving seal whisker arrays mounted on 3D‐printed microelectromechanical systems sensors, the ...
