Spatially Variable Ripple and Groove Formation on Gallium Arsenide Using Linear, Radial, and Azimuthal Polarizations of Laser Beam

open access: yesPhotonics
We demonstrated the linear, radial, and annular ripple formation on the surface of GaAs. The formation of linear ripples was optimized by the number of shots and the fluence of 30 ps, 532 nm pulses.

Generation and Characterization of Vector Beams with a Single SLM for Super-Resolution Microscopy [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences
We present a method to generate vector beams using a single spatial light modulator (SLM) for depletion-based super-resolution microscopy techniques such as STED, RESOLFT, and subtraction microscopy.

CP sensitive observables in chargino production with transverse $e^{\pm}$ beam polarization

open access: yes, 2004
We consider the process $e^+e^-\to\ti\chi^+_i\ti\chi^-_j$ at a linear collider with transverse $e^{\pm}$ beam polarization. We investigate the influence of the CP phases on azimuthal asymmetries in $e^+e^-\to\ti\chi^+_i\ti\chi^-_j$ with subsequent two ...

Advances in Electroactive Liquid Crystal Elastomers for Intelligent Robotics and Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Electroactive liquid crystal elastomers (eLCEs) integrate molecular anisotropy with electrical functionality to enable programmable actuation and reconfigurable electronics. This review classifies eLCEs into robotic actuators and adaptive electronics, summarizes key actuation mechanisms, and highlights fabrication strategies that bridge materials to ...

Helix Alignment, Chevrons, and Edge Dislocations in Twist‐Bend Ferroelectric Nematics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The recently discovered twist‐bend ferroelectric nematic (NTBF) is the new member of the multiferroic family, representing a fluid with an oblique helicoidal (heliconical) periodic structure of spontaneous electric polarization. The work presents a thorough exploration of the material properties of this phase, how the periodic modulation of ...

Spin momentum-dependent orbital motion

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2020
We present a theoretic analysis on (azimuthal) spin momentum-dependent orbital motion experienced by particles in a circularly-polarized annular focused field. Unlike vortex phase-relevant (azimuthal) orbital momentum flow whose direction is specified by

Scattering of neutrinos on a polarized electron target as a test for new physics beyond the Standard Model

open access: yes, 2005
In this paper, we analyze the scattering of the neutrino beam on the polarized electron target, and predict the effects of two theoretically possible scenarios beyond the Standard Model.

Photon‐Sphere Modes in Curved Optical Microcavities: A Black‐Hole Analogue Laser

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An optical analogue of a Schwarzschild black hole is realized using curved microcavities that preserve light‐like geodesics. A new family of laser modes confined around the photon sphere is identified alongside conventional whispering‐gallery modes. Analytical theory, numerical simulations, and experiments reveal curvature‐induced confinement, enabling

Prompt emission polarimetry of Gamma Ray Bursts with ASTROSAT CZT-Imager

open access: yes, 2019
X-ray and Gamma-ray polarization measurements of the prompt emission of Gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) are believed to be extremely important for testing various models of GRBs.

Microscale Mapping of Fiber Strain and Damage in Composite Wrinkled Laminates Using Computed Tomography Assisted Wide‐Angle X‐Ray Scattering

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study combines full‐field tomography with diffraction mapping to quantify radial (ε002$\varepsilon _{002}$) and axial (ε100$\varepsilon _{100}$) lattice strain in wrinkled carbon‐fiber specimens for the first time. Radial microstrain gradients (−14.5 µεMPa$\varepsilon \mathrm{MPa}$−1) are found to signal damage‐prone zones ahead of failure, which ...
