Beta Blocker Toxicity at Therapeutic Doses: A Look Into Carvedilol Use in the Elderly
Clinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 6, June 2026.ABSTRACT Beta‐blocker toxicity does not occur only in overdose situations. In vulnerable populations such as children and the elderly, therapeutic doses may produce cumulative toxic effects similar to those seen in acute overdose. These patients require monitoring that extends beyond basic laboratory investigations to preempt cumulative toxicity.
