Reversible change in electrical and optical properties in epitaxially grown Al-doped ZnO thin films [PDF]
Aluminum-doped ZnO (AZO) films were epitaxially grown on sapphire (0001) substrates using pulsed laser deposition. As-deposited AZO films had a low resistivity of 8.01× 10-4 Ω cm.

Bioprosthetic aortic valves have revolutionized the treatment of aortic stenosis, but their durability is limited by structural valve deterioration (SVD). This review focuses on the pericardial tissue at the heart of these valves, examining how its mechanical properties and calcification drive fatigue and failure.

Deployable medical devices typically need external stimuli to trigger deployment. However, external stimuli are difficult to supply within tissues. Here, we describe a strategy to deploy small‐scale structures into soft tissues after insertion without the need for any stimulus. We demonstrate deployment within a tissue phantom.

Spectrophotometric Determination of Anionic Surfactants in River Water with Cationic AZO Dye by Solvent Extraction- Flow Injection Analysis [PDF]
Anionic surfactants in water were determined by a spectrophotometric flow injection technique coupled with solvent extraction. The ion associate which formed between an anionic surfactant and an cationic azo dye was extracted into an organic solvent and ...

Opportunities of Semiconducting Oxide Nanostructures as Advanced Luminescent Materials in Photonics
The review discusses the challenges of wide and ultrawide bandgap semiconducting oxides as a suitable material platform for photonics. They offer great versatility in terms of tuning microstructure, native defects, doping, anisotropy, and micro‐ and nano‐structuring. The review focuses on their light emission, light‐confinement in optical cavities, and

Design and Fabrication of Photo-Responsive Hydrogel for the Application of Functional Contact Lens
Traditional hydrogel has usually had restricted application in the biomedical field due to lack of a control unit. Herein, Azobenzene (AZO), as a typical kind of photo-response molecule, was introduced into hydrogel by polymerization to provide a control
