Radio Emission from Young Supernovae and Supernova Remnants in Arp 299

open access: yes, 2009
We have made sensitive milliarcsecond-resolution radio images of the nearby merger galaxy Arp 299 at four epochs spread over 18 months between 2003 and 2005. The combined data revealed a total of 30 point sources in the two primary merger nuclei.

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

Earliest detection of the optical afterglow of GRB 030329 and its variability

open access: yes, 2003
We report the earliest detection of an extremely bright optical afterglow of the gamma-ray burst (GRB) 030329 using a 30cm-telescope at Tokyo Institute of Technology (Tokyo, JAPAN).

Tumor‐stromal crosstalk and macrophage enrichment are associated with chemotherapy response in bladder cancer

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Chemoresistance in bladder cancer: Macrophage recruitment associated with CXCL1, CXCL5 and CXCL8 expression is characteristic of Gemcitabine/Cisplatin (Gem/Cis) Non‐Responder tumors (right side) while Responder tumors did not show substantial tumor‐stromal crosstalk (left side). All biological icons are attributed to Bioicons: carcinoma, cancerous‐cell‐

Optimization of bike-sharing repositioning operations: A reactive real-time approach

open access: yesEURO Journal on Transportation and Logistics
One of the critical issues in the operation of vehicle-sharing systems is the optimization of the fleet repositioning movements. Repositioning implies the artificial movement of vehicles from places where they accumulate to others in which they are ...

Robust perfluorophenylboronic acid-catalyzed stereoselective synthesis of 2,3-unsaturated O-, C-, N- and S-linked glycosides

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2019
A convenient protocol was developed for the synthesis of 2,3-unsaturated C-, O-, N- and S-linked glycosides (enosides) using 20 mol % perflurophenylboronic acid catalyst via Ferrier rearrangement.

Comparison of direct and perturbation approaches to analysis of infinite–dimensional feedback control systems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science, 2021
For general boundary control systems in factor form some necessary and sufficient conditions for generation of an analytic exponentially stable semigroup are proposed in both direct and perturbation forms for comparison. The direct approach is applicable

Differential regulation of ZFAS1 splice variants by endoplasmic reticulum stress in hepatocyte cell lines

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
ZFAS1 is a lncRNA promoting cell proliferation and migration, exhibiting high expression in various cancers. It is conserved, widely expressed, and produces multiple splice variants with unclear roles. We identified several splice variants in hepatocyte models, and found that inhibiting or suppressing regulators of the unfolded protein response (PERK ...
