Furin‐Mediated Cleavage of Zona Pellucida Proteins Is Essential for Oocyte Development
The furin cleavage site mutation leads to a failure in transmembrane transport process of non‐modified ZP2 protein. This unsuccessful ZP2 secretion might result in the decreased expression of exocytosis complex SNAREs, which further induces oocyte apoptosis via p53 pathway and PI3K signaling.

Innate NKTγδ and NKTαβ cells exert similar functions and compete for a thymic niche.
International audienceThe transcriptional regulator promyelocytic leukemia zinc finger (PLZF) is highly expressed during the differentiation of natural killer T (NKT) cells and is essential for the acquisition of their effector/memory innate-like ...

IL-5, MCP-1, G-CSF and KC cytokine levels in serum of sham, burn, RI and CI mice.
Analysis performed using cytokine multiplex assays to assess (A) IL-5, (B) MCP-1, (C) G-CSF and (D) KC serum levels in female B6D2F1/J mice subjected to skin burn injury alone (BURN), whole-body ionizing irradiation alone (RI) or when combined with skin ...

Strain differences in the radiosensitivity of mouse spermatogonia
The radiosensitivity of spermatogonia was found to be greater by up to a factor of 2 in C3H mice than in B6D2F1 mice, whether assessed for the highly sensitive spermatogonia (types A2 to In) or the much more resistant clonogenic spermatogonia which ...

Fullerol treatment reduces mortality and clinical signs in experimental GVHD.
GVHD was induced by the transfer of 3 x 107 splenocytes from C57BL/6J donors to B6D2F1 mice that were irradiated with low dose two days before transplantation.

Abnormal gene expression in regular and aggregated somatic cell nuclear transfer placentas
Background Placental defects in somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT) are a major cause of complications during pregnancy. One of the most critical factors for the success of SCNT is the successful epigenetic reprogramming of donor cells. Recently, it was

Macrophage Activation by Adjuvants in Aging Mice
Peritoneal macrophages from young (3–8 mo) and aging (12–29 mo) mice of the C58, BALB/c, C3H/He, C57BI/6J, and B6D2F1 strains were compared for their capacity to become activated by various adjuvants in four assays.
