Matrix metalloproteinase‐9 (MMP9) drives ovarian cancer progression. Using MMP9‐null cells (M9‐KO) created from ovarian cancer cells, we found MMP9 loss did not block Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF)‐driven E‐cadherin dissolution or EMT but delayed and reduced EGF‐driven membrane protrusions. Transient MMP9 re‐expression drove membrane protrusion.

Accuracy of B(E2; 0+ -> 2+) transition rates from intermediate-energy Coulomb excitation experiments
The method of intermediate-energy Coulomb excitation has been widely used to determine absolute B(E2; 0+ -> 2+) quadrupole excitation strengths in exotic nuclei with even numbers of protons and neutrons. Transition rates measured with intermediate-energy

Doublet bands in $^{126}$Cs in the triaxial rotor model coupled with two quasiparticles [PDF]
The positive parity doublet bands based on the $\pi h_{11/2}\otimes\nu h_{11/2}$ configuration in $^{126}$Cs have been investigated in the two quasi-particles coupled with a triaxial rotor model.

This study explores the feasibility of expressing the antitumoral protein Amblyomin‐X through a suicide gene therapy approach and investigates its intracellular fate after gene delivery. Although the gene is efficiently expressed, melanoma cells rapidly degrade the Amblyomin‐X protein via proteasome activity.

MiR‐513a promotes human erythroid differentiation by modulating c‐Jun
During early human erythropoiesis, miR‐513a promoted erythroid differentiation in primary human CD34+ hematopoietic stem‐progenitor cells and human TF‐1 erythroleukemic cells by indirectly decreasing c‐Jun and phospho‐c‐Jun expression, which are associated with increased GATA1 expression.

Background: There is a paucity of data on the optimal threshold of oestradiol (E2) levels required for successful implantation as this is a valid question to be answered, considering that significant number of in vitro fertilisation cycles are deferred ...

Intracellular antibody signalling is regulated by phosphorylation of the Fc receptor TRIM21
Cell surface Fc receptors activate inflammation and are tightly controlled to prevent autoimmunity. Antibodies also simulate potent immune signalling from inside the cell via the cytosolic antibody receptor TRIM21, but how this is regulated is unknown ...

This study aimed to establish and compare models of mammary gland hyperplasia (MGH) with hyperprolactinemia (HPRL) using two different methods. The models provide information on the relationship between mammary gland hyperplasia and associated hormones ...

Astrophysical S-factor of the $^7$Be($p,\gamma)^8$B reaction from Coulomb dissociation of $^8$B
The Coulomb dissociation method to obtain the astrophysical S-factor, $S_{17}(0)$, for the $^7$Be($p,\gamma)^8$B reaction at solar energies is investigated by analysing the recently measured data on the breakup reaction $^{208}$Pb$(^8$B,$^7$Be$~p)^{208 ...
