We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...

Proteostasis and the gut microbiota play a key role in shaping host physiology. Microbiota‐derived metabolites, vitamins, and RNA modulate host proteostasis. Findings from model systems, including C. elegans, indicate microbes can either stabilize or disrupt host proteostasis.

New physics contributions to moments of inclusive b → c semileptonic decays
Inclusive semileptonic B →$ {X}_c\ell {\overline{\nu}}_{\ell } $ decays, where ℓ = μ, e, are by now standard candles in the determination of the CKM element |V$_{cb}$|.

Phosphoinositides and inositol phosphates as molecular glues
Inositol phosphates (IPs) and phosphoinositides (PIPs) regulate diverse eukaryotic processes. Beyond recruiting signaling proteins or acting as structural cofactors, recent studies suggest they mediate protein–protein interactions as natural molecular glues.

New physics contributions in B → πτν and B → τν [PDF]
We study possible new physics contributions in B → πτν and B → τν employing the model-independent effective Lagrangian that describes the quark-level transition b → uτν at low energies.

One of the exciting results in flavor physics in recent times is the RD/RD⁎ puzzle. The measurements of these flavor ratios performed by the B-factory experiments, BaBar and Belle, and the LHCb experiment are about 4σ away from the Standard Model ...

I review the status of lattice simulations relevant for phenomenological studies of B-physics. Results for much-studied quantities such as f_B, B_B and form-factors for semileptonic decays are presented as well as those for quantities which have begun to be studied only recently (such as B-lifetimes).

Structural insights and therapeutic targets in Acinetobacter baumannii capsule biosynthesis
Hypervirulent KL49 A. baumannii's capsular polysaccharide contains the nonulosonic acid 8‐epi‐Leg5,7Ac2, synthesized by epimerization via ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC. Crystal structures of ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC reveal their role in CMP‐Leg5,7Ac2 synthesis and regioselective C8 epimerization.
