Characterization Of Keratinases From Bacillus Spp.
The present study deals with the characterization of keratinases from Bacillus brevis and Bacillus cereus isolated from the poultry wastes. During the enzyme-substrate reaction, the crude keratinases of the two bacteria showed their maximum activity at 35 and 500C and pH 10 and pH 8 with optimum incubation period of 80 and 70 minutes, respectively. The

Abstract Chickpeas (Cicer arietinum L.) serve as a protein‐rich staple, particularly in Mediterranean countries, where they are often grown in marginal and water‐stressed areas. This meta‐analysis synthesized evidence from peer‐reviewed publications across Mediterranean countries to assess how chickpea rhizobial inoculation influences chickpea ...

Abstract Background This study evaluated the antimicrobial activity of thyme essential oil (TEO) encapsulated in electrospun zein fibers for use in bilayer films as active packaging for cherry tomatoes. The antimicrobial activity of TEO and bilayer films with 20%, 40%, and 60% TEO was assessed with agar diffusion and microatmosphere assays.

Styrene and its natural analogues: accumulation and sustainable production methods
Abstract Styrene, also known as vinyl benzene, is a colourless, highly volatile petrochemical that serves as a key monomer in the production of polystyrene and styrene‐butadiene rubber. Its industrial synthesis via the alkylation of benzene with ethylene relies on fossil fuels, requiring high temperatures and toxic catalysts that contribute to ...
