Coupling Nitrogenous Organic Wastewater Treatment and Biorefinery via N‐Cycling Bacterium
The vast reservoir of nitrogenous organic pollutants in industrial wastewaters can serve as untapped carbon‐nitrogen resources. This study employs the newly discovered Paracoccus sp. ZQW‐1 as a versatile chassis to simultaneously achieve N‐methylpyrrolidone (NMP) wastewater depuration and polyhydroxybutyrate (PHB) synthesis.

Biocatalytic Regioselective C‐Formylation of Resorcinol Derivatives
An acyltransferase from Chromobacterium sphagni (CsATase) was identified that catalyzes the regioselective formylation of resorcinol substrates. The formylation of substituted resorcinol derivatives yielded mono‐formylated products with up to 99% conversion and up to 74% isolated yield.

Effect of Endophytic Microorganisms on Growth Rate of Crops
Increasing the yield of wheat, barley, and oats is a pressing issue. It largely depends on soil fertility. Mineral fertilizers, however, may be ineffective and unsustainable. As a result, microorganisms seem to be a promising alternative.

Selective bio-flocculation of hematite mineral using Bacillus subtilis for phosphorous removal from iron ores [PDF]
Bacillus subtilis is used as a bio-surface modifier to flocculate hematite mineral (Fe 2O 3). The effect of bacterial interaction on the behavior of hematite and apatite minerals, as the main source of phosphorous in iron ore, was investigated using zeta-

CRISPR‐FLEXMO (CRISPR with flexible PAM in MOF encapsulation) integrates a PAM‐relaxed Cas12a K607R enzyme with a manganese‐coordinated MOF for broad‐spectrum diagnosis of bacterial sepsis. The MOF enhances activity and preserves functionality under heat, solvent, and chaotropic stress, supporting long‐term room‐temperature storage.

Evaluation of in situ valine production by Bacillus subtilis in young pigs
Mutants of Bacillus subtilis can be developed to overproduce Val in vitro. It was hypothesized that addition of Bacillus subtilis mutants to pig diets can be a strategy to supply the animal with Val.

Traditionally considered sterile, the articular cavity is now recognized to harbor microbial communities influencing osteoarthritis (OA). Integrating 16S rRNA sequencing and culturomics, Micrococcus luteus is enriched in advanced OA. Notably, M. luteus G18 exacerbates cartilage degeneration via TLR2/JNK/AP‐1‐mediated ECM disruption, revealing intra ...

Principles for Rigorous Design and Application of Synthetic Microbial Communities
SynComs are artificially designed to enable inter‐species metabolic interactions, metabolic division of labor, and ecological interactions that can elicit phenotypes like colonization stability and environmental adaptation. This systematic review explores the processes used to construct SynComs, the assessment of the mechanisms of metabolic interaction
