Mechanism‐Driven Screening of Membrane‐Targeting and Pore‐Forming Antimicrobial Peptides
To combat antibiotic resistance, this study employs mechanism‐driven screening with machine learning to identify pore‐forming antimicrobial peptides from amphibian and human metaproteomes. Seven peptides are validated, showing minimal toxicity and membrane disruption.

Introduction: The third step in histidine degradation is catalysed by imidazolonepropionase. It catalyses the conversion of 4-imidazolone-5-propionic acid to produce N-formimino-L-glutamic acid by hydrolyzing the carbon-nitrogen bonds. The histidine is a

Chromosome segregation in Streptococcus pneumoniae depends on RocS, a bitopic protein whose membrane‐anchoring mechanisms were unclear. Using NMR and AFM, this study reveals that the widely conserved RocS anchor binds to membranes via a conserved kink‐helix motif which inserts into lipid nanodomains.
