Effective Potential of a Black Hole in Thermal Equilibrium with Quantum Fields [PDF]
Expectation values of one-loop renormalized thermal equilibrium stress-energy tensors of free conformal scalars, spin-${1 \over 2}$ fermions and U(1) gauge fields on a Schwarzschild black hole background are used as sources in the semi-classical Einstein

YAP1::TFE3 mediates endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal plasticity in epithelioid hemangioendothelioma
The YAP1::TFE3 fusion protein drives endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EndMT) plasticity, resulting in the loss of endothelial characteristics and gain of mesenchymal‐like properties, including resistance to anoikis, increased migratory capacity, and loss of contact growth inhibition in endothelial cells.

Stress and tinnitus—from bedside to bench and back
The aim of this review is to focus the attention of clinicians and basic researchers on the association between psycho-social stress and tinnitus. Although tinnitus is an auditory symptom, its onset and progression often associates with emotional strain.

Modeling hepatic fibrosis in TP53 knockout iPSC‐derived human liver organoids
This study developed iPSC‐derived human liver organoids with TP53 gene knockout to model human liver fibrosis. These organoids showed elevated myofibroblast activation, early disease markers, and advanced fibrotic hallmarks. The use of profibrotic differentiation medium further amplified the fibrotic signature seen in the organoids.

Trace Anomaly and Backreaction of the Dynamical Casimir Effect
The Casimir energy for massless scalar field which satisfies priodic boundary conditions in two-dimensional domain wall background is calculated by making use of general properties of renormalized stress-tensor.

This study investigated how PYCR1 inhibition in bone marrow stromal cells (BMSCs) indirectly affects multiple myeloma (MM) cell metabolism and viability. Culturing MM cells in conditioned medium from PYCR1‐silenced BMSCs impaired oxidative phosphorylation and increased sensitivity to bortezomib.

This dissertation focuses on the relation between stress exposure and children’s emotional and behavioral (mal)adjustment over time across developmental periods and subgroups. Additionally, it is examined what individual and family factors are protective in the relation between stress and children’s maladjustment, i.e., contribute to resilience to ...
