A controlled ac Stark echo for quantum memories
A quantum memory protocol of controlled ac Stark echoes (CASE) based on a double rephasing photon echo scheme via controlled Rabi flopping is proposed.

Testing the Stability of the Canadian Phillips Curve Using Exact Methods [PDF]
Postulating two different specifications for the Canadian Phillips curve (a purely backwardlooking model, and a partly backward-, partly forward-looking model), the authors test for structural breaks in the parameters of the equation.

ABSTRACT Background Myasthenia gravis (MG) is a rare disorder characterized by fluctuating muscle weakness with potential life‐threatening crises. Timely interventions may be delayed by limited access to care and fragmented documentation. Our objective was to develop predictive algorithms for MG deterioration using multimodal telemedicine data ...

Unbounded operators commuting with restricted backward shifts [PDF]
The closed densely defined operators on a proper invariant subspace of the backward shift that commute with the restricted backward shift are shown to be coanalytic Toeplitz operators induced by functions in the Nevanlinna class. The result can be interpreted as a kind of commutant lifting theorem for unbounded operators.

Association of Corticospinal Tract Asymmetry With Ambulatory Ability After Intracerebral Hemorrhage
ABSTRACT Background Ambulatory ability after intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) is important to patients. We tested whether asymmetry between ipsi‐ and contra‐lesional corticospinal tracts (CSTs) assessed by diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) is associated with post‐ICH ambulation.

Observation of Goos-H\"{a}nchen shifts in metallic reflection
We report the first observation of the Goos-H$\rm \ddot{\textbf{a}}$nchen shift of a light beam incident on a metal surface. This phenomenon is particularly interesting because the Goos-H$\rm \ddot{\textbf{a}}$nchen shift for $p$ polarized light in ...

Functional Connectivity Linked to Cognitive Recovery After Minor Stroke
ABSTRACT Objective Patients with minor stroke exhibit slowed processing speed and generalized alterations in functional connectivity involving frontoparietal cortex (FPC). The pattern of connectivity evolves over time. In this study, we examine the relationship of functional connectivity patterns to cognitive performance, to determine ...

Co-dimension one stable blowup for the supercritical cubic wave equation
For the focusing cubic wave equation, we find an explicit, non-trivial self-similar blowup solution $u^*_T$, which is defined on the whole space and exists in all supercritical dimensions $d \geq 5$. For $d=7$, we analyze its stability properties without

ABSTRACT Objective People with epilepsy (PWE) may experience cognitive deficits but fail to undergo formal evaluation. This study compares cognitive status between PWE and healthy controls in the West African Republic of Guinea. Methods A cross‐sectional, case–control study was conducted in sequential recruitment phases (July 2024–July 2025) at Ignace ...
