Nonreciprocal signal growth in space-time modulated transmission lines [PDF]

open access: yesScientific Reports
Nonreciprocity in space-time modulated photonic crystals has been explored in the context of nonreciprocal propagation and polarization. In this study, we investigate reconfigurable nonreciprocal wave growth in space-time modulated crystals.

Frequently recurrent backward shifts [PDF]

open access: green
We study frequently recurrent unilateral and bilateral backward shift operators on Fréchet sequence spaces. We prove that if a backward shift admits a non-zero frequently recurrent vector, then it supports a dense set of such vectors, so that the operator is frequently recurrent.

Wavelet-Assisted Adaptive EKF Phase Shift Estimation Approach for Motion-Induced Error Compensation [PDF]

open access: yesSensors
Phase-shifting profilometry (PSP) suffers from motion-induced phase-step variations in dynamic scenes. The breakdown of the fixed phase shift assumption results in issues such as ripples, distortions and accuracy decline in PSP systems.

Backward shift invariant subspaces in reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces [PDF]

open access: greenMATHEMATICA SCANDINAVICA, 2020
In this note, we describe the backward shift invariant subspaces for an abstract class of reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces. Our main result is inspired by a result of Sarason concerning de Branges-Rovnyak spaces (the non-extreme case). Furthermore, we give new applications in the context of the range space of co-analytic Toeplitz operators and sub ...

Linearization of discrete-time control system by state transformation [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the Estonian Academy of Sciences, 2021
This paper presents necessary and sufficient linearizability conditions by state transformation for discrete-time multi-input nonlinear control system under the mild assumption on the surjectivity property and describes how to find the state ...

Controlling Microresonator Solitons with the Counter-Propagating Pump

open access: yesPhotonics, 2021
Considering a bidirectionally pumped ring microresonator, we provide a concise derivation of the model equations allowing us to eliminate the repetition rate terms and reduce the nonlinear interaction between the counter-propagating waves to the power ...

The concepts of Lie derivative for discrete-time systems; pp. 253–265 [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the Estonian Academy of Sciences, 2012
The paper extends the concept of the Lie derivative of the vector field, used in the study of the continuous-time dynamical systems, for the discrete-time case.

Topological Transitivity of Shift Similar Operators on Nonseparable Hilbert Spaces

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces, 2021
In this paper, we investigate topological transitivity of operators on nonseparable Hilbert spaces which are similar to backward weighted shifts.
