In vitro models of cancer‐associated fibroblast heterogeneity uncover subtype‐specific effects of CRISPR perturbations

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Development of therapies targeting cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) necessitates preclinical model systems that faithfully represent CAF–tumor biology. We established an in vitro coculture system of patient‐derived pancreatic CAFs and tumor cell lines and demonstrated its recapitulation of primary CAF–tumor biology with single‐cell transcriptomics ...

Regime Shifts and the Stability of Backward Looking Phillips Curves in Open Economies [PDF]

open access: yes
In this paper we assess the stability of open economy backward-looking Phillips curves estimated over two different exchange rate regimes. The pseudo-data employed in our econometric exercise come from the simulation of a New-Keynesian hybrid model ...

Dynamic of Time Varying Weighted Backward Shift Operator

open access: yes, 2023
we study the hypercyclic and chaotic properties of the time varying weighted backward shift operator $(Tx)(t)=w(t)x(t+a)$ in $L_p(0,\infty)(1\leq p<\infty)$ and $C_0[0,\infty)$. And we also analyse the spectral structure of the operators if the spaces are complex.

Backward shift invariant subspaces in the bidisc [PDF]

open access: yesHokkaido Mathematical Journal, 2004
Suppose that \(T_{\varphi}\) is a Toeplitz operator with symbol \(\varphi\) on the Hardy space \(H^{2}\) on the bidisc \(T^{2}\). Let \(N\) be a backward shift invariant subspace of \(H^{2}(T^{2})\), that is, \(N\) is invariant under \(T_{z}^{\ast}\) and \(T_{w}^{\ast}\), where \(z\) and \(w\) are the coordinate functions of the point of \(T^{2}\). Let

Dual targeting of RET and SRC synergizes in RET fusion‐positive cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Despite the strong activity of selective RET tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), resistance of RET fusion‐positive (RET+) lung cancer and thyroid cancer frequently occurs and is mainly driven by RET‐independent bypass mechanisms. Son et al. show that SRC TKIs significantly inhibit PAK and AKT survival signaling and enhance the efficacy of RET TKIs in ...

J-class weighted shifts on the space of bounded sequences of complex numbers

open access: yes, 2008
We provide a characterization of $J$-class and $J^{mix}$-class unilateral weighted shifts on $l^{\infty}(\mathbb{N})$ in terms of their weight sequences. In contrast to the previously mentioned result we show that a bilateral weighted shift on $l^{\infty}

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

Backward- and forward-looking potential of anaphors

open access: yesFrontiers in Psychology, 2015
Personal pronouns and demonstratives contribute differently to the encoding of information in the mental model and they serve distinct backward- and forward-looking functions.
