Bacterial load from implants mean CFU±SD (logarithmic scale). [PDF]
The bacteria found in biofilms along the surface of the pin was released with ultrasonication and grown for 24 h at 35C. The pins were washed in saline prior to sonication thus the bacterial load solely represents bacteria from biofilms formed on the ...

EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...

Relative quantification of bacterial load by qRT-PCR. [PDF]
Relative change over time of the bacterial load in Spodoptera littoralis larvae, exposed to control dsRNA (A) or Sl gasmin dsRNA (B) and fed with artificial diet on which a solution of Bacillus thuringiensis Cry1Ca toxin (2.7 μg/cm2) was layered.
