Depletion of p75NTR in Schwann Cells Driven by Inflammation Mediates Cutaneous Pain in Psoriasis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Psoriasis‐like inflammation induces proliferation and molecular remodeling of cutaneous Schwann cells, marked by reduced p75NTR and increased NGF expression. IL‐17A promotes this process, whereas Schwann cell‐specific p75NTR overexpression alleviates cutaneous pain in vivo.

Inactivating mutations in genes encoding for components of the BAF/PBAF complex and immune-checkpoint inhibitor outcome

open access: yesBiomarker Research, 2020
Alterations of genes encoding subunits of the BAF/PBAF complexes are among the most frequent gene aberrations in human cancer. Such alterations have been shown to have an impact on tumor microenvironnement and on the capacity of tumors to respond to ...

Non-canonical role for the BAF complex subunit DPF3 in mitosis and ciliogenesis.

open access: yesJ Cell Sci
ABSTRACT DPF3, along with other subunits, is a well-known component of the BAF chromatin remodeling complex, which plays a key role in regulating chromatin remodeling activity and gene expression. Here, we elucidated a non-canonical localization and role for DPF3.

Sono‐Mechanogenetics: Linking Ultrasound Physics With Cellular Mechanobiology

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Sono‐mechanogenetics links ultrasound physics with cellular mechanotransduction to enable noninvasive control of engineered biological systems. Acoustic forces generate distinct deformation modes that activate intracellular signaling pathways, which can be coupled to synthetic gene circuits to regulate diverse cellular functions, including gene ...

High‐Performance X‐Band Electromagnetic Interference Shielding in Flexible Barium Hexaferrite/Cobalt‐Based Microwires/Silicone Rubber Ternary Composites via Magnetic–Conductive Synergy

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
A flexible ternary composite combining barium hexaferrite (BHF), Co–Microwires, and silicone rubber exploits magnetic–conductive synergy to deliver tunable X‐band EMI shielding, reaching a 16.9 dB at 9.8 GHz (surpassing the 10 dB industrial benchmark). Shielding behavior shifts between reflection and absorption with BHF loading and Co–Microwires counts

Comprehensive synergy mapping links a BAF- and NSL-containing “supercomplex” to the transcriptional silencing of HIV-1

open access: yesCell Reports, 2023
Summary: Host repressors mediate HIV latency, but how they interactively silence the virus remains unclear. Here, we develop “reiterative enrichment and authentication of CRISPRi targets for synergies (REACTS)” to probe the genome for synergies between ...

De Novo Complex Genomic Rearrangement Spanning 2q31.1 in a Proband With Congenital Malformations: Genotype–Phenotype Correlation and Development of a CGR Detection Pipeline

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The 2q31 region is commonly associated with pathogenic alleles of the HOXD cluster leading to various clinical phenotypes related to skeletal development. We present a proband with tetralogy of Fallot and multiple congenital anomalies. Genomic variant screening including an in‐house CGR detection pipeline pairing genome sequencing (GS ...
