We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Thermal characteristics of InGaN-based green micro-LEDs
We have investigated the thermal characteristics of InGaN-based green micro-light-emitting diodes (micro-LEDs) without the passivation layer in a wide junction temperature range of 298–453 K.

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...

Nonvolatile Balanced Ternary Memory Based on The Multiferroelectric Material GeSnTe2
Modern computer technology is based on the binary logic system. However, the slowdown of its development calls for transition to multivalued logic (MVL) systems. MVL can yield a denser logic implementation on the same chip area at low cost.

Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.

Balanced ternary designs with block size three, any Λ and any R
A balanced ternary design on V elements is a collection of B blocks (which are multisets) of size K, such that each element occurs 0, 1 or 2 times per block and R times altogether, and such that each unordered pair of distinct elements occurs Λ times ...

The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

More balanced ternary designs with block size four
This paper gives necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of balanced ternary designs with block size four and Λ = 2 in the cases ρ{variant} = 3, 4, 5 and 6; the case ρ{variant} = 1 and 2 have appeared ...

Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.
