Strong and ductile Fe-24Mn-3Cr alloy resistant against erosion-corrosion

open access: yesnpj Materials Degradation, 2021
The ternary-based Fe-24Mn-3Cr alloy has superior mechanical properties based on an attractive combination of high strength and ductility, with long-term environmental stability in highly corrosive environments compared to conventional ferritic steel ...

Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.

ON D-OPTIMAL CHEMICAL BALANCE WEIGHING DESIGNS

open access: yesActa Universitatis Lodziensis. Folia Oeconomica, 2015
The paper deals with the problem of determining the chemical balance weighing designs satisfying the criterion of D-optimality under assumption that the measurement errors are equal correlated and they have the same variances.

Ammonia synthesis by ternary ruthenium complex hydrides

open access: yes, 2021
A new class of catalysts based on ternary ruthenium complex hydrides are developed for low-temperature ammonia synthesis. They support a non-dissociative reaction path for dinitrogen reduction, in which lithium or barium cations stabilize the NxHy ...

Development of human monoclonal antibodies against TARM1 by yeast display

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Human monoclonal antibodies against TARM1 are generated by yeast display‐guided selection. These antibodies bind to soluble and cell‐surface forms of TARM1. Also, these antibodies exhibit agonistic activity in the NFAT‐GFP reporter assay, indicating that TARM1 signaling can be functionally modulated by antibodies and suggesting TARM1 as a potential ...

Designing a Novel Wide Bandgap Small Molecule Guest for Enhanced Stability and Morphology Mediation in Ternary Organic Solar Cells with over 19.3% Efficiency

open access: yesAdvanced Science
In this study, a novel wide‐bandgap small molecule guest material, ITOA, designed and synthesized for fabricating efficient ternary organic solar cells (OSCs) ITOA complements the absorbance of the PM6:Y6 binary system, exhibiting strong crystallinity ...

Rapid screening of staphylokinase protein variants using an unpurified cell‐free expression system

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
An unpurified cell‐free protein synthesis (CFPS) platform enables rapid functional screening of staphylokinase variants. Direct plasminogen‐activation assays performed in microplate format provide real‐time activity readouts, allowing rapid identification and ranking of variants with improved or reduced fibrinolytic activity without protein ...

CONSTRUCTION METHOD OF A-OPTIMAL CHEMICAL BALANCE WEIGHING DESIGNS

open access: yesActa Universitatis Lodziensis. Folia Oeconomica, 2015
Here, we study the design in that we determine unknown measurements of p objects by used of n measurement operations. For that reason we consider the chemical balance weighing design under assumption that the measurement errors are uncorrelated and they ...

Blood‐based proteomic profiling reveals context‐dependent changes in BCL2‐associated signaling during taxane therapy in breast cancer patients

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Chemotherapy side effects significantly impact cancer survivors' quality of life. Using protein levels in blood samples from breast cancer patients before and after 12 weeks of taxane treatment, we detected treatment‐dependent changes in calcium signaling and aging pathways associated with cancer recurrence.

Ternary Variable-to-Fixed Length Balancing Scheme With Simple Encoding/Decoding

open access: yesIEEE Access
The application of balanced (DC-free) codes is widely spread in the field of telecommunication, especially in magnetic and optical recording systems. However, most balancing schemes rely on look-up tables to decode information bits and therefore, they ...
