Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Unlocking The Potential of Balanced Ternary Chips: A Paradigm Shift in Computing
The current landscape of digital computing predominantly relies on the binary system, limited to representing information using only 0 and 1. Nevertheless, the relentless progression in chip design and manufacturing technology has pushed traditional ...

Symmetric balanced ternary designs with ϱ1 = 1 or 2
A balanced ternary design is a collection of blocks containing various points 0, 1 or 2 times and such that the size of the blocks and the number of occurrences of any point or any pair of distinct points simultaneously in the same block are constants.

We developed and validated a DNA methylation–based biomarker panel to distinguish pleural mesothelioma from other pleural conditions. Using the IMPRESS technology, we translated this panel into a clinically applicable assay. The resulting two classifier models demonstrated excellent performance, achieving high AUC values and strong diagnostic accuracy.

Strength through diversity: how cancers thrive when clones cooperate
Intratumor heterogeneity can offer direct benefits to the tumor through cooperation between different clones. In this review, Kuiken et al. discuss existing evidence for clonal cooperativity to identify overarching principles, and highlight how novel technological developments could address remaining open questions.

A family of balanced ternary designs with block size four [PDF]
This paper shows the existence of an infinite family of cyclic balanced ternary designs where the block size is 4, the index 2 and each block contains precisely one repeated element.
