Effect of bamboo charcoal powder on the curing characteristics, mechanical properties, and thermal properties of styrene–butadiene rubber with bamboo charcoal powder

Journal of Applied Polymer Science, 2013
ABSTRACTCompounds of styrene–butadiene rubber (SBR) filled with bamboo charcoal powders (BCPs) were prepared with a laboratory‐sized two‐roll mill. The effects of the BCP loading on the curing characteristics and mechanical and thermal properties were investigated.

Mechanistic aspects of nitrogen-heterocyclic compound adsorption on bamboo charcoal

Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, 2012
Adsorption of three nitrogen-heterocyclic compounds (NHCs), pyridine, indole, and quinoline, on a new porous carbonaceous adsorbent, bamboo charcoal (BC), is investigated. Different structures and surface properties of BC are created by HNO(3) and NaOH treatment as well as by microwave (MW) radiation.

Characterization of charcoal from some promising bamboo species

Journal of the Indian Academy of Wood Science, 2014
In this study, carbonisation of four bamboo species viz., Bambusa bambos, Dendrocalamus brandisii, D. stocksii and D. strictus was carried out. The effect of carbonisation temperature i.e., 300, 400, 500, 600, 700 and 800 °C on yield and fuel properties (calorific value, ash, volatile content, fixed carbon content etc.,) of bamboo charcoal was ...

Charcoal bamboo as a bone substitute: an animal study.

Journal of the Medical Association of Thailand = Chotmaihet thangphaet, 1995
Charcoal bamboo (Bambusae glaucescens) was placed in the resected tibial diaphysis of sixteen New Zealand White rabbits. At two, four and six weeks and again at six months after the operations, four rabbits in each period were killed and all specimens were examined under a light microscope and a scanning electron microscope.

Denitration and adsorption mechanism of heat-treated bamboo charcoal

Journal of Environmental Chemical Engineering, 2017
Abstract In this work, the efficiency and mechanism of denitration were investigated by bamboo charcoal (BC), which was modified by high-temperature treatment. The influencing factors of the denitration efficiency, including the heating temperature, N2 protection atmosphere, and oxidation treatment by H2O2 were also investigated.
