Oxide interfaces for novel electronic applications
Oxide heterostructures have been shown to exhibit unusual physics and hold the promise of novel electronic applications. We present a set of criteria to select and design interfaces, particularly those that can sustain a high-density two-dimensional ...

Aircraft and Ship Velocity Determination in Sentinel-2 Multispectral Images
The Sentinel-2 satellites in the Copernicus program provide high resolution multispectral images, which are recorded with temporal offsets up to 2.6 s. Moving aircrafts and ships are therefore observed at different positions due to the multispectral band

ZrSiOx/IGZO heterojunctions band offsets determined by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy
We measured the valence band offset of sputtered ZrSiOx (bandgap 5.9 eV) on InGaZnO4 (IGZO) using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and the bandgaps of these materials using either absorption or reflection electron energy loss spectroscopy.

The crystal structure of Borrelia burgdorferi nicotinamidase (PncA/BBE22) reveals the correct full‐length protein initiated from a non‐canonical AUU start codon. The structure validates previous biochemical findings and resolves a long‐standing annotation error, demonstrating that the truncated database sequence is structurally incompatible with the ...

Research Update: Emerging chalcostibite absorbers for thin-film solar cells
Copper antimony chalcogenides CuSbCh2 (Ch=S, Se) are an emerging family of absorbers studied for thin-film solar cells. These non-toxic and Earth-abundant materials show a layered low-dimensional chalcostibite crystal structure ...
