Band offsets at the Si/SiO2 interface from many-body perturbation theory

open access: yes, 2008
We use many-body perturbation theory, the state-of-the-art method for band-gap calculations, to compute the band offsets at the Si/SiO2 interface. We examine the adequacy of the usual approximations in this context.

An Improved Ultrahigh-Resolution Stepped-Frequency Spaceborne SAR Imaging Algorithm

open access: yesIEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing
Frequency stepping is a widely used technique for ultrahigh-resolution synthetic aperture radar (SAR). Although reducing the burden of hardware, this technique increases the complexity of imaging algorithms due to the intersubband time offsets and ...

SPG4 and Dementia: Expanding the Clinical Spectrum

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Hereditary spastic paraplegia (HSP) is a group of disorders characterized by progressive spasticity and lower limb weakness, with mutations in SPG4/SPAST being the most common cause. Detailed studies and clinical and molecular comparisons across different populations are missing.

Summary Abstract: Band offsets at HgTe CdTe interfaces [PDF]

open access: yes, 1985
Band offsets are an important physical characteristic of any heterojunction. The HgTe-CdTe offset is particularly important since it affects the properties of the superlattice which is under much investigation theoretically and experimentally (1,2).

ALDOA Promotes Glycolysis and NLRP3/GSDMD Pyroptosis to Accelerate ALS Progression

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is characterized by progressive motor neuron degeneration. Glycolytic dysregulation is implicated in disease progression, yet the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. This study investigates how Aldolase A (ALDOA) drives ALS progression through glycolysis‐mediated motor neuron pyroptosis.

Ofatumumab in Myelin Oligodendrocyte Glycoprotein Antibody–Associated Disease: A Comparison With Rituximab

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of ofatumumab in patients with myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody–associated disease (MOGAD), and compare it with rituximab. Methods We conducted a single–center, observational study including 22 MOGAD patients treated with ofatumumab and 21 treated with rituximab.

Configuration of Guard Band and Offsets in Cyclic Queuing and Forwarding

open access: yes, 2022
Cyclic Queuing and Forwarding (CQF) is a mechanism defined by IEEE TSN for providing low-jitter in a deterministic network. CQF uses a common time cycle and two buffers per node output port: during one cycle incoming packets are stored in one buffer ...

Early Clinical, Imaging, and Pathological Characteristics of SRPK3/TTN‐Digenic Myopathy

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective SRPK3/TTN‐digenic myopathy was recently established as a skeletal muscle myopathy caused by digenic inheritance. This study characterizes the early clinical presentation of SRPK3/TTN‐digenic myopathy in one previously reported and seven newly identified pediatric patients.

Quasiparticle calculations of band offsets at AlN -- GaN interfaces

open access: yes, 2007
A first-principle quasiparticle theory in the GW approximation is used to compute valence and conduction band offsets, VBO and CBO, respectively, for hexagonal and cubic AlN -- GaN interfaces.

Chemical Tailoring of Band Offsets at the Interface of ZnSe–CdS Heterostructures for Delocalized Photoexcited Charge Carriers

open access: yes, 2016
Monocomponent quantum dots (QDs) possess limited electron–hole delocalization capacity upon photoexcitation that suppresses the efficiency of photoenergy harvesting devices.
