Design of a high precision bandgap voltage reference

Proceedings of 2011 International Conference on Electronic & Mechanical Engineering and Information Technology, 2011
As a way of generating high precision voltage reference, bandgap voltage reference is a very important module in the analog integrated circuits and mixed-signal integrated circuits to provide a temperature and power supply insensitive output voltage. The bandgap voltage reference circuit presented here in this paper is an improved conventional bandgap ...

Bandgap voltage references with 1V supply

2006 Proceedings of the 32nd European Solid-State Circuits Conference, 2006
The structure, operation principle and set of circuit implementations of the low output voltage (~200 mV) bandgap voltage references are presented. References are capable for operating with a supply below 1V, while having accuracy and noise parameters comparable with the traditional 1.2 V bandgap reference.

BiCMOS cascaded bandgap voltage reference

Proceedings of the 39th Midwest Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2002
A bandgap voltage reference with a circuit providing compensation of the thermal nonlinearity for the base-emitter voltage is described. The temperature dependence of V/sub BE/(T) is linearized using, as the bias current, a sum of two currents one of which is proportional to the third degree, and another to the fourth degree of absolute temperature ...

A low voltage CMOS bandgap reference circuit

2008 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (ISCAS), 2008
A CMOS low voltage bandgap reference circuit is presented. The proposed circuit architecture enables it to work with supply voltages as low as 1.1 V. The circuit is designed in 90 nm CMOS technology for a typical bandgap output voltage of 611 mV. Simulation results show that generated bandgap output voltage varies from 600 mV to 626 mV across all ...

Novel MOSFET-only bandgap voltage reference

Proceedings of 2010 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2010
A novel bandgap voltage reference circuit is presented. This approach eliminates the need of resistors, which not only demand area but also favor noise coupling. Moreover, only forward-biased parasitic PMOS back-body diodes are used instead of bipolar transistors. As in any bandgap reference process variations can be compensated by trimming.

Design and characterization of bandgap voltage reference

2012 10th IEEE International Conference on Semiconductor Electronics (ICSE), 2012
This paper presents the design and characterization of 1.8V bandgap voltage reference fabricated using Siltera's 0.18um CMOS process technology. The proposed bandgap voltage reference employed two-stage amplifier, start-up and power down circuit. The paper focuses on circuit analysis using SPECTRE and Monte Carlo, layout design technique for reducing ...

A low-voltage CMOS bandgap reference

IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits, 1979
The CMOS bandgap voltage reference described here uses the bipolar substrate-transistor and the bipolar-like source-to-drain transfer characteristics of MOS transistors in weak inversion to implement a voltage source that is proportional to absolute temperature (PTAT). A first version of PTAT source is derived from a circuit described previously.

A Low Voltage CMOS Bandgap Reference

The 3rd International IEEE-NEWCAS Conference, 2005., 2005
In this paper, a low voltage bandgap reference (LVBR) is proposed and analyzed. An nMOS arrangement folded operational transconductance amplifier (OTA) is developed for the LVBR. From the Hspice simulation results, the proposed LVBR can be operated with sub-1V supply.

CMOS 1.5V Bandgap Voltage Reference

2005 6th International Conference on ASIC, 2006
A low power and high precision CMOS bandgap voltage reference circuit is presented. Prototype of the circuit is fabricated using the 0.18 mum CMOS process. The power supply is only 1.5 V. It fulfills the first order PTAT (proportion to absolute temperature) temperature curvature compensation with a good PSRR (power supply rejection ratio). The measured

Low-Noise Bandgap Voltage Reference

Nanotechnology : the development , application - XXI Century
At present, reference voltage sources (ION) are still a typical unit for building most digital and analog systems. It is necessary to create a new reference voltage source capable of operating over a wide range of voltages. Purpose – develop a calibrated low noise reference voltage source.
