Numerical Simulation of Barchan-barchan repulsion
The dataset shared within these files consists of the full setup to perform a numerical simulation of a subaquous barchan-barchan dune interaction. The simulation was carried out using the open-source free CFDEM software, which couples the open-source ...

How attractive is a barchan dune?
The spatio-temporal behaviour of barchan dunes is investigated experimentally with downsized longitudinal barchan dune slices generated in a narrow water flow tube. The development towards a shape attractor is shown on the basis of four different starting configurations in qualitative observation and quantitative analysis.

Bubble Printing of Anisotropic Clay Nanotubes
Bubble printing patterns of lyotropic liquid crystal nanotubes form toroidal or linear patterns depending on laser movement and colloidal stability. Long nanotubes create radial filament bundles, while poor electrostatic repulsion hinders deposition.

Investigation of flavonoid extract of Hyoscyamus albus L. Abstract The current study aimed to determine the phytochemical composition of the flavonoid‐rich extract of Hyoscyamus albus L. (FEHA), collected from the Khenchela region, and to investigate its multiple bioactivities. Phytochemical profiling was explored using LC‐MS and FTIR.

Corridors of barchan dunes: Stability and size selection [PDF]
Barchans are crescentic dunes propagating on a solid ground. They form dune fields in the shape of elongated corridors in which the size and spacing between dunes are rather well selected. We show that even very realistic models for solitary dunes do not reproduce these corridors. Instead, two instabilities take place.

Pioneering Evidence of the Dynamics of Water Vapor and CO2 Fluxes in Sahara Desert Soils
Abstract Soil CO2 flux (Fc) is a major component of the global carbon balance. It is often overlooked in arid regions as low soil moisture restricts microbial and root respiration. Studies in the last decades challenge this paradigm, reporting an anomalous diurnal cycle of Fc in arid regions. This diurnal cycle is thought to be initiated by geochemical

Sand Dune Dynamics Exploiting a Fully Automatic Method Using Satellite SAR Data
This work presents an automatic procedure to quantify dune dynamics on isolated barchan dunes exploiting Synthetic Aperture RADAR satellite data. We use C-band datasets, allowing the multi-temporal analysis of dune dynamics in two study areas, one ...

Abstract Martian dust is mobilized throughout the year by local, regional, and global dust storms, influencing atmospheric opacity and inhibiting observations of the surface. Using Mars Hand Lens Imager (MAHLI) images and methods of Schmidt et al. (2018), https://doi.org/10.1029/2018je005553, areal dust coverages on 368 near‐horizontal, undisturbed ...
