When one graph judgment leads to another: Signal detection analysis of base rate effects
Graphs can help people arrive at data-supported conclusions. However, graphs might also induce bias by shifting the amount of evidence needed to make a decision, such as deciding whether a treatment had some kind of effect.

Bone metastasis in prostate cancer (PCa) patients is a clinical hurdle due to the poor understanding of the supportive bone microenvironment. Here, we identify stearoyl‐CoA desaturase (SCD) as a tumor‐promoting enzyme and potential therapeutic target in bone metastatic PCa.

Fuzzy approximation based on statistical rates
The paper contains fuzzy Korovkin-type approximation results based on statistical rates instead of statistical convergence or ordinary convergence. The author's approach covers both the algebraic and trigonometric cases in fuzzy sense. The results are more general than the classical fuzzy Korovkin results and the statistical fuzzy approximation results;

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Exchange rate regimes and monetary autonomy: Empirical evidence from selected Caribbean countries [PDF]
This paper uses the error correcting methodology to investigate how pegged and non-pegged exchange rate regimes in a set of Caribbean countries affect the closeness of the relationship between changes in a base country rate and the local rate.

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Analysing Trust Transitivity and The Effects of Unknown Dependence
Trust can be used to improve online automated recommendation within a given domain. Trust transitivity is used to make it successful. But trust transitivity has different interpretations. Trust and trust transitivity; both are the human mental phenomenon

The effect of base-rate priors on decision-making and confidence in healthy aging
Perceptual decision-making is often done in conditions of uncertainty. Through a process of Bayesian inference, people can combine priors, such as knowledge about base-rates, with available sensory evidence to make perceptual decisions.
