Engineering Strain‐Stiffening Granular Hydrogels for 3D‐Printed Tissue‐Mimicry

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A 3D‐printable strain‐stiffening double‐network granular hydrogel (SDGH) enables independent, region‐specific tuning of toe (EToe) and heel (EHeel) moduli through control of microgel packing and network composition. This platform replicates tissue‐like nonlinear mechanics and allows fabrication of high‐fidelity, multilayered aortic valves with ...

Oppositely Charged Single Enzyme Nanogels Form Versatile Coacervates for Efficient Enzyme Cascade Catalysis

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Oppositely charged single enzyme nanogels (SENs) phase‐separate into bi‐enzymatic coacervate microdroplets, acting as both scaffold and functional units. By tuning SEN ratios, these coacervates create specific microenvironments that enable selective small‐molecule enrichment and efficient intermediate diffusion.

Metabolic Analysis of a CHO Cell Line in Batch and Fed-batch Culture [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Animal cell culture is widely used as a platform for the production of a variety of biopharmaceuticals. The development of an efficient and productive cell culture requires a deep understanding of intra-cellular mechanisms as well as extra-cellular ...

Cell Adhesion by Design: Engineering Tissue Culture Scaffolds With Adhesion Cues

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In scaffold‐based tissue engineering, the matrix should provide adequate adhesion cues for cell attachment, spreading, and function. Given the multitude of adhesion receptors and the diversity of scaffolds, there are many approaches to render scaffolds adhesive, even though they are not all equivalent.

Process development for high-titer production of adenovirus devoid of replication-competent particles in suspension-adapted complementing A549 cell culture

open access: yesBMC Biotechnology
Adenovirus is one of the most attractive viral vectors for therapeutic vaccines and gene therapy with the caveat that replication-competent adenoviruses (RCA) can be produced.

A Reproducible and Scalable Process for High Yield Mesenchymal Stromal Cell Extracellular Vesicles Production

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Mesenchymal stem cell derived extracellular vesicles (MSC‐EVs) are a promising therapeutic tool for regenerative medicine. However, the field lacks a reproducible high‐yield production method to answer the quantities needed for clinical translation.
