Experimental comparison of FBARs and SMRs responsitivities to mass loadings [PDF]
The utilisation of thin film technology to develop film bulk acoustic resonators (FBARs) and solidly mounted resonators (SMRs), offers great potential to outperform the sensitivity and minimum detection limit of gravimetric sensors. Up to now, the choice

Performance of BAW resonators at cryogenic temperatures
In this work we go beyond the usual temperature range for commercial applications and explore the functioning of Bulk Acoustic Wave (BAW) resonators down to cryogenic temperatures, to get the whole picture at understanding the physical tendency of the main parameters with temperature.

Abstract Background Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a progressive, irreversible, fatal neurodegenerative disorder, and is the leading cause of dementia among the elderly population globally. ABBV‐916 is a potential disease‐modifying treatment for AD that targets Aβ peptides bearing a pyroglutamate residue at amino acid position 3, an Aβ species ...

Fabrication of Bulk Acoustic Wave Resonator with Multilayer Graphene Electrode
Herein, multilayer graphene structures are grown on the silicon substrate for the fabrication of the bulk acoustic wave resonator device. The result reveals that both methods can be used to replace the Bragg reflector. Two bulk acoustic wave resonator (BAW) devices with multilayer graphene as bottom electrodes are fabricated using the chemical vapor ...

Scanning heterodyne laser interferometer for phase-sensitive absolute-amplitude measurements of surface vibrations [PDF]
We describe a scanning heterodyneinterferometer for imaging surface vibrations with a wide frequency range, with current electronics, up to 6GHz. The heterodyne operation facilitates measurement of absolute amplitude and phase of the surface vibration ...

Gigahertz thermoelastic acousto‐optic modulation in lithium niobate integrated photonic device
Abstract Tailoring the interaction between acoustic waves and optical waves in integrated photonic circuits has emerged as a promising avenue for quantum optics and high‐speed information processing. Among various approaches, on‐chip acousto‐optic modulation (AOM) has been extensively explored in the past decade and successfully demonstrated across ...

Analysis of Border Ring Modes on SMR-BAW Resonators
An equivalent circuit model is proposed in order to model the Border Ring (BR) spurious modes on Type I Solidly Mounted Resonators (SMR) BAW resonators and the cancellation of the in-band lateral modes that the BR frame produces. The model has been validated through FEM simulations and with measurements of resonators.
