A Synergistic Approach: Enhanced Apoptotic and Proliferative Inhibition of Cisplatin by Nanocurcumin in HeLa Cells

open access: yesJournal of Food and Pharmaceutical Sciences
Cisplatin is a widely used chemotherapeutic agent for cervical cancer, but its effectiveness is often limited by cellular resistance and severe side effects.

USP5 Stabilizes TGFBR1 to Drive Vascular Smooth Muscle Cell Senescence and Atherosclerosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals that USP5 drives vascular smooth muscle cell senescence and atherosclerosis by stabilizing TGFBR1, suppressing IDH2, and promoting glycolytic reprogramming, identifying the USP5‐TGFBR1‐IDH2 axis as a potential therapeutic target. ABSTRACT Vascular smooth muscle cell (VSMC) senescence contributes importantly to atherosclerotic plaque ...

Transgenic Bax gene efficiently induces lethality in mouse early embryos

open access: yesThe Journal of Reproduction and Development
Apoptosis is an essential physiological process involved in embryonic development, immune responses, and tissue homeostasis. Despite many studies on pro-apoptotic genes, few reports have directly compared the lethality-inducing potential between

Synergistic p53 Pathway Activation Through Sono‐Gene Therapy Induced by Ultrasound‐Triggered Theranostic Mesoporous Nanoparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Schematic representation of ultrasound‐mediated ICG/siCD24@MSN‐LCD from nanostructure to synergistic sono‐gene therapy. This nanoplatform targets ASGPR via the LCD shell, which dissociates to release loaded ICG and siCD24. The core mechanism involves ultrasound‐guided sonodynamic therapy by ICG and CD24 knockdown by siCD24, both activating the p53 axis

AARS1‐Mediated RUNX3 K193 Lactylation Enhances the Activation and Cytotoxicity of CD8+T Cells in Smoking‐Related Emphysema

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Exposure to CS causes an elevation of AARS1 levels, which increases the levels of RUNX3 lactylation at the K193 site and increases protein levels of RUNX3 through inhibition of autolysosomal degradation. Elevated RUNX3 levels promote CD8+T cell activation and augment their cytotoxicity, which induces alveolar epithelial cell death and facilitates the ...

Nanoparticle‐Mediated TIPE1 mRNA Delivery Enhances Paclitaxel Sensitivity in Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer by Modulating RAB7A Ubiquitination‐Associated Stability and Autophagy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
TIPE1m NPs nanoparticles restore TIPE1 expression, promote RAB7A ubiquitination and degradation, suppress autophagic flux, and resensitize paclitaxel‐resistant triple‐negative breast cancer to therapy. ABSTRACT Acquired paclitaxel (PTX) resistance remains a major obstacle in triple‐negative breast cancer (TNBC) treatment.

Parkin promotes proteasomal degradation of misregulated BAX

open access: yes, 2017
The pro-apoptotic BCL-2 protein BAX commits human cells to apoptosis by permeabilizing the outer mitochondrial membrane. BAX activation has been suggested to require the separation of helix α5 from α6 and thus the ‘latch’ from the ‘core’ domain among ...

Targeting Hippocampal PTEN Suppresses Ferroptosis and Rescues Cognitive Decline in Alzheimer's Disease via Dual AKT/GSK3β/Nrf2 and AKT/STAT3 Axes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
PTEN knockdown activates AKT phosphorylation, promoting Nrf2 nuclear translocation and STAT3 activation, which upregulates GPX4 and antioxidant enzymes HO‐1, SOD1, SOD2, and NQO1. These coordinated changes reduce lipid peroxidation and ROS, inhibit ferroptosis, and ultimately ameliorate cognitive impairment in APP/PS1 transgenic mice, highlighting a ...

A C‐Nucleoside Analogue of Cordycepin With High Metabolic Stability and Potent Anti‐Psoriatic Activity via Microneedle Delivery

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work identified CPD3a as a potent, stable C‐nucleoside cordycepin derivative. When formulated into microneedle array for topical treatment, it ameliorated psoriasis by rebalancing immunity and enhancing antioxidant defenses. ABSTRACT Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory disorder characterized by immune dysregulation and epidermal hyperplasia ...

大鼠坐骨神经切断后相应脊髓节段Bcl-2、Bax蛋白表达及神经细胞凋亡

open access: yesZhongguo shiyan zhenduanxue, 2010
