The regulation of stem cell fate and its application in neural regeneration

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Medicine, EarlyView.
Regulating stem cell fate is crucial for neural regeneration. This review summarizes key physical, biological, and chemical strategies and their applications in repairing nerve injuries, providing new insights for regenerative medicine. Abstract Regulating the fate of stem cells (SCs) is a key technical problem in the field of regenerative medicine and

Microbial metabolite indole‐3‐propionic acid preserves astrocytic mitochondrial mitofusin 2 to limit neuroinflammation after traumatic brain injury

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Medicine, EarlyView.
Following traumatic brain injury, indole‐3‐propionic acid (IPA) directly targets the aryl hydrocarbon receptor on astrocytes in the peri‐lesional cortex; this suppresses interferon regulatory factor 1‐driven transcription of the E3 ubiquitin ligase RFFL (ring finger and FYVE‐like domain containing E3 ubiquitin protein ligase).

Reversing brain aging: Targeting energy metabolism in endogenous neural stem cells

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Medicine, EarlyView.
Mechanism of endogenous neural stem cells (eNSCs) energy metabolism disorder leading to brain aging and targeted eNSCs intervention strategies (By biorender). The disorder of energy metabolism of eNSCs can lead to their resting and aging, and eventually lead to brain aging.

Engineered 3D cultured human nasal mucosa mesenchymal stem cell derived sEVs for targeted brain‐derived neurotrophic factor delivery to enhance neurogenesis and attenuate brain damage

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Medicine, EarlyView.
This study successfully developed and evaluated BDNF@RVG‐sEVs, a novel brain‐targeted nanomedicine based on hnmMSC‐derived sEVs, designed to overcome the BBB and enhance neurorestoration. By integrating RVG for enhanced brain targeting and encapsulating BDNF for potent neurorepair, our system address the key limitations of the conventional sEVs and ...
