We report a new thiolate‐reactive α,α‐gem‐dibromo lactam warhead that activates transcription factor Nrf2 and demonstrates anti‐inflammatory activities, which have implications in cancer, neurodegeneration, and cardiovascular diseases. RNA‐seq illuminated detailed transcriptional profiles, and chemical reactions with cysteine‐containing compounds ...

Abstract Google scientists published Bottleneck Bandwidth and Round-trip propagation time (BBR), a novel TCP congestion control algorithm variant. Unlike traditional congestion control algorithms, BBR adjusts its transmission rates by periodically measuring the network traffic based on round-trip propagation time (RTprop) and available ...

A mitochondria‐targeted, microenvironment‐responsive nanoplatform enables pH/ROS‐triggered co‐delivery of berberine and isoliensinine to orchestrate ROS scavenging, inflammation suppression, and apoptosis inhibition. This vertical modulation of mitochondrial pathological networks preserves mitochondrial function and effectively mitigates myocardial ...

Can Credit Rating Changes Affect Corporate Carbon Emissions? Some Evidence From the S&P 500
ABSTRACT Using panel data on US S&P 500 firms from 2012 to 2024, this study examines how credit rating changes affect corporate carbon performance. Drawing on the resource‐based view and prospect theory, we show that credit rating downgrades lead to a statistically and economically significant deterioration in emission reduction scores.

Berberine Ameliorates Inflammation in Acute Lung Injury via NF-κB/Nlrp3 Signaling Pathway
The inflammatory response is the key pathophysiological character of acute lung injury (ALI). Berberine (BBR), a natural quaternary ammonium alkaloid, plays a functional role in anti-inflammation both in vitro and in vivo.

The study compared the medicinal activities of polyphenols from fermented and unfermented seeds of Annona squamosa. The polyphenols were extracted and subjected to standard analysis. The major phenolic components of the fermented polyphenols and the unfermented polyphenols were found to be 4‐hydroxybenzoic and 4‐hydroxyphenylacetic acid, respectively ...
