The disposition of carboplatin in the beagle dog

Cancer Chemotherapy and Pharmacology, 1988
Carboplatin was administered i.v. to four groups of three male beagle dogs at doses of 3, 6, 12, and 24 mg/kg (60-580 mg/m2). Plasma samples were obtained at appropriate times and protein-free plasma ultrafiltrates (PU) were generated with Amicon Centrifree micropartition systems. Urine was collected at 24-h intervals for 96 h.

Pupillometric studies in the beagle dog

Naunyn-Schmiedeberg's Archives of Pharmacology, 1975
A method of measuring pupillary diameter in the dog using a Kowa RC-2 fundus camera, to which an eyepiece graticule had been fitted, is described. Pupil diameter was measured either directly by reading off from the calibrated graticule or from photographs.

Pharmacokinetics of tildipirosin in beagle dogs

Journal of Veterinary Pharmacology and Therapeutics, 2017
The objective of this study was to investigate the pharmacokinetic profile of tildipirosin (TD) in 24 beagle dogs following intravenous (i.v.) and intramuscular (i.m.) administration, respectively, at 2, 4, and 6 mg/kg. Plasma samples at certain time points (0–14 days) were collected, and the concentrations of drug were quantified by UPLC‐MS/MS. Plasma

Pharmacokinetics of Riluzole in Beagle Dogs

Drug Research, 2018
Abstract Background Riluzole is a benzothiazole anticonvulsant used in the treatment of patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and it is being investigated for clinical use in patients with spinal cord injury. The present study evaluated the pharmacokinetics of riluzole in beagle dogs after oral dose administration.

Citrinin mycotoxicosis in beagle dogs

Food and Cosmetics Toxicology, 1974
Abstract Three trials were completed in which young beagle dogs were either fed a citrinin-containing culture of Penicillium citrinum (Trial I) or were administered pure citrinin either ip (Trial II) or orally (Trial III). Dogs fed the fungal culture and those given 20 or 40 mg pure citrinin/kg body weight developed renal disease.

The frank vectorcardiogram of the beagle dog

Journal of Electrocardiology, 1972
Summary A spatial vectorcardiogram (VCG), employing the Frank reference system, was recorded for 29 normal beagle dogs. The QRS loop was elliptical to ovoid and oriented to the left inferior quadrant in the frontal plane, to the left anterior quadrant in the transverse plane, and to the anterior inferior quadrant in the left sagittal plane. The trace

Pharmacokinetics of Astragalosideiv in Beagle Dogs

European Journal of Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics, 2007
In this study, the pharmacokinetics of Astragaloside iv (AGS-IV) in Beagle dogs was studied by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) coupled with tandem mass spectrometry (MS). The concentrations of the drugs in plasma were determined after i.v. administration of 0.5, 1, 2 mg.kg(-1) AGS-IV and p.o. administration of 10 mg.kg(-1) AGS-IV.

Endotoxin shock in the beagle dog

American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, 1979
The hemodynamic and metabolic responses to endotoxemia were assessed in seven splenectomized, chronically instrumented, conscious but lightly sedated beagle dogs. Measurements included: cardiac output (CO), right and left atrial pressures (RAP, LAP), systemic and pulmonary arterial pressures (SAP, PAP), and heart rate (HR).
