COBIAS: Contextual Reliability in Bias Assessment [PDF]
Large Language Models (LLMs) often inherit biases from the web data they are trained on, which contains stereotypes and prejudices. Current methods for evaluating and mitigating these biases rely on bias-benchmark datasets. These benchmarks measure bias by observing an LLM's behavior on biased statements.

Analyzing Electronic Excitations and Exciton Binding Energies in Y6 Films
The Y6 molecule is used for increasing the efficiency of organic solar cells. The exciton binding energy is calculated for ensembles of Y6 molecules that are representative of the typically used films. The calculations show that the excitons typically spread out over many molecules.

Measuring Implicit Bias in Explicitly Unbiased Large Language Models [PDF]
Large language models (LLMs) can pass explicit social bias tests but still harbor implicit biases, similar to humans who endorse egalitarian beliefs yet exhibit subtle biases. Measuring such implicit biases can be a challenge: as LLMs become increasingly proprietary, it may not be possible to access their embeddings and apply existing bias measures ...

The negative differential resistance is exploited, using a La0.67Sr0.33MnO3 thin film network to demonstrate various neuronal functionalities of the human brain, such as leaky‐integrate‐fire and oscillatory patterns. Transmission electron microscope studies show local modification in oxygen octahedra in the network leads to co‐existing phases ...
