Risk Game: Capturing impact of information quality on human belief assessment and decision making
This paper presents the Risk Game, a general methodology to elicit experts’ knowledge and know-how, in their ability to deal with information provided by different types of sources (sensors or humans) of variable quality, to take into account the ...

The Effect of Belief Elicitation Game Play [PDF]
The assumptions that subjects hold beliefs and that the chosen actions are not altered by a proper elicitation of these beliefs are widely used in economics. In this paper I experimentally test whether the second assumption is correct.

Prior Elicitation, Assessment and Inference with a Dirichlet Prior
Methods are developed for eliciting a Dirichlet prior based upon stating bounds on the individual probabilities that hold with high prior probability. This approach to selecting a prior is applied to a contingency table problem where it is demonstrated ...

Subjective beliefs formation and elicitation rules : experimental evidence [PDF]
Since they have been increasingly used in economics, elicitation rules for subjective beliefs are under scrutiny. In this paper, we propose an experimental design to compare the performance of such rules.

Belief-Logic Conflict Resolution in Syllogistic Reasoning: Inspection-Time Evidence for a Parallel-Process Model [PDF]
An experiment is reported examining dual-process models of belief bias in syllogistic reasoning using a problem complexity manipulation and an inspection-time method to monitor processing latencies for premises and conclusions.

Magnetoactive Hydrogels to Probe Curvature‐Directed Endothelial Cell Mechanosensing
This work establishes a platform to investigate local curvature as a regulator of endothelial mechanosensing independent of shear stress. Magnetoactive hydrogels enable on‐demand curvature of endothelial monolayers to reproduce tortuosity quantified by clinically established metrics.
