Transition-metal-free trifluoromethylthiolation–acylation of arynes by insertion into the C–S bonds

open access: yesGreen Synthesis and Catalysis, 2021
An efficient procedure to access to ortho-SCF3 substituted benzophenones from arynes and trifluoromethylthioesters has been developed under transition-metal free conditions. This difunctionalization process involves the first insertion of arynes into the

Chlorination and chloramination of benzophenone-3 and benzophenone-4 UV filters

open access: yesEcotoxicology and Environmental Safety, 2018
The objective of this research was to explore the fundamental reactions between chlorine/chloramine and 2-hydroxyl-4-methoxyl benzophenone (BP3)/2-hydroxyl-4-methoxyl benzophenone-sulfonic acid (BP4), which were the most common reactions in benzophenone-type UV filters during drinking water treatment processes.

Dalbergia ecastaphyllum (L.) Taub. and Symphonia globulifera L.f.: The Botanical Sources of Isoflavonoids and Benzophenones in Brazilian Red Propolis

open access: yesMolecules, 2020
The Brazilian red propolis (BRP) constitutes an important commercial asset for northeast Brazilian beekeepers. The role of Dalbergia ecastaphyllum (L.) Taub. (Fabaceae) as the main botanical source of this propolis has been previously confirmed. However,

One‐Step Curcumin‐Mediated Multiphoton Lithography for Bioactive 3D Scaffolds

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Curcumin‐mediated multiphoton lithography enables one‐step fabrication of highly architected complex gelatin methacryloyl scaffolds by exploiting curcumin as a multifunctional bioactive photoinitiator. The resulting 3D structures support mesenchymal stem cell adhesion, proliferation, and migration, while exhibiting dual antibacterial activity through ...
