Herbicidal efficacy and ecological safety of an allelochemical-based benzothiazine derivative.

Pest Management Science, 2019
BACKGROUND The development of allelochemical-based herbicides may be of particular value for weed management in cropping systems. However, the action of potential allelochemical-based herbicides on crop selectivity and ecotoxicology needs to be clarified

Synthesis of novel quaternary ammonium salts from 1, 2-benzothiazine derivatives

, 2020
A series of novel 1,2-benzothiazine based quaternary ammonium salts were successfully prepared through different organic transformations. Products of all transformations and final salts were separated out and purified.

Photochemical ring contraction of dihydro-1,4-benzothiazines

Tetrahedron Letters, 1994
Abstract The pheomelanin precursor 1a and the related dihydro-1,4-benzothiazines 1b–f undergo ring contraction upon irradiation with pyrex-filtered UV light to give 2-methylbenzothiazoles 2a–f in good yields.

Hybrid compounds from chalcone and 1,2-benzothiazine pharmacophores as selective inhibitors of alkaline phosphatase isozymes.

European journal of medicinal chemistry, 2018
Chalcones and 1,2-benzothiazines are two important classes of bioactive compounds, each scaffold endowed with diverse pharmacological activities. Combining both of these pharmacophores in a single molecule was aimed to yield multi-modal agents.

Benzothiazines in Synthesis. Formal Synthesis of Erogorgiaene.

ChemInform, 2005
A benzothiazine, readily available in enantiomerically pure form via a completely selective, intramolecular addition of a sulfoximine-stabilized carbanion to an α,β-unsaturated ester, could be converted to a precursor to erogorgiaene in good overall yield.

A new fluorescence probe based on diarylethene with a benzothiazine unit for selective detection of Cd2+

Tetrahedron, 2018
A novel photochromic diarylethene derivative containing a benzothiazine unit has been synthesized. Its photochromism and fluorescent selectivity to metal ions were studied in detail in methanol solution. Under the stimulation of Cd2+ ions, the derivative

Reversible formation of cyclic 1,4‐benzothiazine oligomers

Journal of Heterocyclic Chemistry, 1987
Abstract1,4‐Benzothiazine 2, generated in situ by mild hydrolysis of aminoacetal 3, readily undergoes aldolization to give mainly two pairs of diastereoisomeric trimers and tetramers, having the gross structure 5 and 6 respectively. In strongly acidic media the oligomers are depolymerized to give monomeric 2H‐1,4‐benzothiazine (1H nmr evidence) which ...

The “Benzothiazine” Chromophore of Pheomelanins: A Reassessment

Photochemistry and Photobiology, 2007
AbstractThe characteristic absorption and photochemical properties of pheomelanins are generally attributed to “benzothiazine” structural units derived biogenetically from 5‐S‐cysteinyldopa. This notion, however, conveys little or no information about the structural chromophores responsible for the photoreactivity of pheomelanins.
