Stabilization of Euler–Bernoulli plate equation with variable coefficients by nonlinear boundary feedback

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 2006
The aim of this paper is to investigate the uniform stabilization of Euler–Bernoulli plate equation with variable coefficients in the principle part subject to nonlinear boundary feedback laws. The exponential or rational energy decay rate is obtained by

The M/G/1 queue with instantaneous bernoulli feedback

Naval Research Logistics Quarterly, 1980
AbstractIn this paper we are concerned with several random processes that occur in M/G/1 queues with instantaneous feedback in which the feedback decision process is a Bernoulli process. Queue length processes embedded at various times are studied. It is shown that these do not all have the same asymptotic distribution, and that in general none of the ...

Robust output feedback Control for an Euler-Bernoulli Beam Equation

2020 American Control Conference (ACC), 2020
In this paper, we address a two output tracking problem under the guidance of the internal model principle for an Euler-Bernoulli beam equation, which is motivated from a recent paper [SIAM J. Control Optim., 57 (2019), 1890-1928] where an adaptive control approach was used to estimate in real time all coefficients of the external harmonic disturbance.

Relationships and decomposition in the delayed bernoulli feedback queueing system

Journal of Applied Probability, 1988
For the delayed Bernoulli feedback queue with first come–first served discipline under weak assumptions a relationship for the generating functions of the joint queue-length distribution at various points in time is given. A decomposition for the generating function of the stationary total queue length distribution has been proven.

A Single Server Retrial Queue with Bernoulli Feedback and Collisions

Journal of Statistical Theory and Practice, 2010
The authors study a single server retrial system with feedback, collisions and general retrial and service times. The retrial rate is assumed to be constant, that is only the ``head''-customer in the orbit attempts to access the server. (In other words, the FCFS orbit discipline is assumed.) Moreover, each customer, after completing the service, joins ...

Stabilization of Bernoulli--Euler Beams by Means of a Pointwise Feedback Force

SIAM Journal on Control and Optimization, 2000
The authors study the energy decay of a Bernoulli--Euler beam which is subject to a pointwise feedback force. The uniform or nonuniform decay depends on the boundary conditions. In the case of nonuniform energy decay, explicit polynomial decay estimates for regular initial data are given.

Evaluation of integral force feedback and multiple positive position feedback on an Euler-Bernoulli beam

2017 14th International Conference on Electrical Engineering, Computing Science and Automatic Control (CCE), 2017
In this work Integral Force Feedback and Multiple Positive position Feedback techniques are evaluated in active vibration suppression of a flexible beam. Integral Force Feedback (IFF) and Multiple Positive Position Feedback (MPPF) are independently applied as the controlling inputs to a PZT patch actuator attached to the flexible beam.

Passivity-based feedback stabilization for Bernoulli jump nonlinear systems

2014 American Control Conference, 2014
We study feedback stabilization of a Bernoulli jump nonlinear system. First, the relationship between stochastic passivity and stochastic stability is established. Then, by using passivity-based tools, a state feedback controller design method that stabilizes a wide class of Bernoulli jump nonlinear systems is proposed.
