A queue with a pair of instantaneous independent bernoulli feedback processes

Optimization, 1993
In this paper we are concerned with several random processes that occur in M/G2/l queue with instantaneous feedback in which the feedback decision process is a pair of independent Bernoulli processes. The stationary distribution of the output process has been obtained. Results for particular queues with feedback and without feedback are obtained.

Feedback release control of Bernoulli production lines

2011 9th World Congress on Intelligent Control and Automation, 2011
Performance analysis, improvement, and design of production systems have been studied extensively for over 60 years. In contrast, feedback control of production systems has received significantly less attention. This paper is devoted to one of the problems in this area: feedback control of parts release in production systems.

Arbitrary Decay Rate for Euler-Bernoulli Beam by Backstepping Boundary Feedback

IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 2009
We consider a problem of stabilization of the Euler-Bernoulli beam. The beam is controlled at one end (using position and moment actuators) and has the ldquoslidingrdquo boundary condition at the opposite end. We design the controllers that achieve any prescribed decay rate of the closed loop system, removing a long-standing limitation of classical ...

Performance analysis of a batch arrival retrial queue with Bernoulli feedback

International Journal of Mathematics in Operational Research, 2014
This paper facilitates the performance prediction of an M X /G/1 retrial queue wherein the single server follows a modified vacation policy . We assume that the job who finds the server busy joins the retrial group (orbit) to get its service in random order and only the job at the head of the queue is allowed to receive service from the server first ...

Feedback stabilisation of an Euler–Bernoulli beam with the boundary time-delay disturbance

International Journal of Control, 2017
In this paper, we consider the feedback stabilisation of an Euler–Bernoulli beam with the boundary time-delay disturbance.

The Relationship Between Bernoulli and Fixed Feedback Policies for the M/G/1 Queue

Operations Research, 1994
We consider an M/G/1 queue with feedback, in which customers, after receiving service, either return to the tail of the queue or depart the system, according to some feedback policy. We derive simple expressions for the expected response time for feedback policies that include Bernoulli feedback and feeding back a fixed number of times.

Queueing Delay in a Finite-Buffer Model with Failures and Bernoulli Feedback

2017
In the paper a finite-capacity queueing model with server breakdowns is considered. Jobs arrive according to a Poisson process and are being served during exponentially distributed processing time under the FIFO service discipline. During the operation of the system successive exponential failure-free times are followed by generally distributed repair ...

Robust stabilization of Bernoulli-Euler beam by one point feedback

Proceedings of IEEE/IAS International Conference on Industrial Automation and Control, 2002
This paper deals with the stabilization of a distributed parameter system based on multilinear box theorem and in which some vertex type of results are possible. The system is modelled using an infinite partial fraction expansion. While the control is designed based on a truncated interval model. The advantages are: one can use well established methods
