Does beta-carotene prevent cancer? A critical appraisal [PDF]
The possible role of beta-carotene as a protective nutrient against cancer is reviewed. Human prospective and retrospective studies strongly indicate that beta-carotene protects against lung cancer and probably against stomach cancer.
