Complexation behavior of antiestrogen drug tamoxifen citrate with natural and modified beta-cyclodextrins

open access: yes, 2007
Inclusion complexes of the poorly-soluble antiestrogen drug tamoxifen citrate (TMX) were prepared with beta-cyclodextrin (beta-CD) and 2,3-di-O-hexanoyl-beta-cyclodextrin (beta-CDC6) being natural and amphiphilic cyclodextrins, respectively using the co ...

Transfersomes with core and surface‐loaded NF‐κB p65 siRNA for enhanced transdermal transfection and effective treatment of psoriasis

open access: yesBMEMat, EarlyView.
TCPL, a transfersome with Tween 80 and PEI, enables efficient transdermal siNF‐κB delivery, resolving PEI's toxicity issue. It promotes lysosomal escape and effective transfection, silences NF‐κB, modulates immunity, and inhibits angiogenesis, alleviating psoriasis. With good biocompatibility, TCPL holds strong clinical translation potential. Schematic

Multifunctional Design of Solid Polymer Electrolytes: Paving the Way for High‐Performance All‐Solid‐State Batteries

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
This review provides a comprehensive and systematic overview of the multifunctional design strategies for solid polymer electrolytes (SPEs), a pivotal component for enabling high‐performance all‐solid‐state batteries (ASSBs). It begins with a detailed classification of SPE systems and elaborates on their respective molecular design principles. The work

Cationic Permethylated Cyclodextrins Capable of Self‐Assembling Into Linear Nanostructures in Water

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
A quaternary ammonium bridge equipped with a lipophilic substituent in permethylated cyclodextrins suppresses undesired supramolecular interactions and promotes controlled, directional head‐to‐tail self‐assembly into well‐defined linear nanostructures.

Beta-cyclodextrines in textile industry

open access: yes, 2020
ß-Cyclodextrin (ß-CD) is an oligosaccharide composed of seven units of D-(+)-glucopyranose joined by a- 1,4 bonds, which is obtained from starch. Its singular trunk conical shape organization, with a well-defined cavity, provides an adequate environment for several types of molecules to be included.

Isodesmic Supramolecular Assembly of Phenylethynylene Bis‐Urea Macrocycles

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
A soluble phenylethynylene bis‐urea macrocycle assembles in polar media via an isodesmic hydrogen bonded mechanism. Spectroscopic and morphological studies reveal nanoscale aggregates with short chain length, while guest additives modulate enthalpy and polymerization, demonstrating tunable supramolecular assembly.
