[Purification and characterization of beta-fructofuranosidase from yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae].
Prikladnaia biokhimiia i mikrobiologiia, 1981Intracellular invertase was isolated from the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae, race XI, and purified by ion-exchange chromatography on DEAE-cellulose and gel-filtration on Sephadex G-200. The effect of pH, temperature, metal ions, thiolic agents, and EDTA on the enzyme activity and stability was investigated. The enzyme was estimated to have a molecular

[Effect of the inoculum on beta-fructofuranosidase synthesis by Aspergillus awamori].
Prikladnaia biokhimiia i mikrobiologiia, 1976The influence of the age and amount of the inoculum on the beta-fructofuranosidase synthesis by Aspergillus awamori 16 was studied during submerged cultivation. The level of the synthesis increased significantly when the 36-hour mycelial inoculum was used.

Purification and properties of beta-fructofuranosidase from Aspergillus oryzae ATCC 76080.
Biochemistry and molecular biology international, 1994A fructooligosaccharide-producing beta-fructofuranosidase was purified from the crude extract of Aspergillus oryzae ATCC 76080 through successive steps of ultrafiltration, DEAE-Sepharose CL-6B ion-exchange chromatography, preparative isoelectric focusing electrophoresis and Sephacryl S-200 gel filtration.

Purification and some properties of beta-fructofuranosidase I from Arthrobacter sp. K-1.
Agricultural and biological chemistry, 1990Arthrobacter sp. K-1, isolated from soil, produces beta-fructofuranosidase. This enzyme preparation was separated into three fractions (I, II, and III) by butyl-Toyopearl 650 M column chromatography. The beta-fructofuranosidase I was purified to homogeneity by disc-electrophoresis after consecutive column chromatographies.

Extracts of Streptococcus mitis ATCC 903 were analysed for beta-fructofuranosidase and alpha-glucosidase activities by isoelectric focusing in thin-layer polyacrylamide gels combined with zymogram procedures. Three bands of activity were visualized in the gels after incubation with sucrose (pI 4.05, 4.25 and 4.85) and three other bands after incubation
